Installing ARB under Ubuntu/Kubuntu

Please keep in mind that the debian-packages and all information mentioned below are unsupported and purely experimental!

Just add the ARB developer pages as a package source

Use your favourite editor to open the sources.list file:

sudo vi /etc/apt/sources.list

Add the following line at the end of your sources.list file:

deb hardy non-free

Let your package manager update its database:

sudo aptitude update

If no error occured you can now install the ARB package: Our ARB packages aren't signed at the moment, so the package manager will ask you if you want to install unsigned packages. Say 'yes' to continue the installation.

sudo aptitude install arb

Packages are only available for Ubuntu/Kubuntu 7.10 "Gutsy Gibbon" i386 at the moment.
